Canadian born Della Wolf Kangro Wiley Richards, is the first child born in Canada with three parents listed on the birth certificate. Because of the recent British Columbia’s Family Law Act, the lesbian couple, and their male friend (who was also sperm donor) are able to claim legal parentage. The three parents finalized baby Della’s birth certificate last week, making them the first family to go through the process required by the new law.
